This is a great post. One I can totally relate to. It's natural to feel envious of others. I often feel that way. Which doesn't mean I'm not happy for my friends successes. But like you, I know it means I just have to try harder and stay focused.

I don't want to be envious of someone but it has made me take a long look at myself and make some changes. I have always been wife, mother, grandma and now I have the added role of being a caregiver. But for the first time in a long time I have decided that I am also Rena, that what I think and feel are important to and I'm not so easily pushed into the back seat. That maybe for once in my life I'm gonna drive and see where I end up. If I don't like what I find I can always pull the map out and change directions. But I'll never regret the trip!
