This is exactly what I needed to read and reflect on. I was just talking to a friend this morning about finding what is meaningful to us in our work at this stage in our early 50's. Taking time to be still and listen to our inner voice is needed advise. As much as I intend to practice this daily, it doesn't always happen. I admire the effort, creativity and love you put into creating An Empowered Spirit. Thanks for your insightful, wonderful messages.

I'm 47 and at a crossroads. I have struggled with bipolar disorder all of my adult life. I had to leave a career because I couldn't function and have not worked since 1998. My B.A. is in journalism and writing has always been my first love. I've been wondering lately if age 47 is "too late" to accomplish anything meaningful in life. However, I have also been thinking I need to stop worrying about chronological age and "just do it"!
