I do not have an auto-immune disease, but both my mother and my grandmother have/had rheumatoid arthritis. It is a horrible disease. In the last 15 years my mother has found some relief from a chemo drug called methotrexate. It is a rather brutal drug, but it has removed her pain and allowed her to have a life. At 86 years old, she is still living alone and driving herself to local destinations. Your post concerning the abdominal lining is interesting, even though it may be too late to benefit my mother. Unfortunately the tendency toward such diseases in families can manifest itself in others, it may be of benefit to someone else in my family or in other families.
