We can't always be there to like everyone's post or comment on everyone's blog, but when push comes to shove a true friend will be there when you need her. I love using Google hangouts with friends who aren't close to me geographically. It feels like the next best thing to being in the same room!

And I'm not a fan of the term mommy blogger. I'm a mom who blogs. Mom blogger is okay, but mommy blogger? Eh

It is so good to hear from you. You and I are prime examples of how social media and all of our work moves us in directions so much that we don't have time to chat. Since BlogHer I've had to go thru withdrawal from my roomie!

What you wrote is exactly what I was thinking. Social media can be too complicated to make it easy to keep in touch. Sounds strange but it's true. My close friends are VERY important to me as they are to you. So I like making time to chat or text with each of them, even if it's only 5 minutes at a time.

I look forward to seeing you in September. How lucky can I get?

I also can't get that song out of my head! I've been watching old reruns of "Murder She Wrote" because I never watched it when it originally aired. I knew the great and fabulous Angela Lansbury was friends with Bea (who I also love) and I remembered they starred in "Mame" together (a show I also love!) I've been having difficulties with a friendship, so all of this sort of came together and synthesized into a post. Funny how a theme comes out of nowhere, eh?
