Having older sibling was a blessing to learn about music. They certainly added a lot to my life.

Funny story: One day my brothers were sitting listening to the newest album, the soundtrack from "Hair" and the song about "69". They were laughing about it when I naively asked, "What is 69?" and they started laughing even harder. Thus another thing you learn from your older siblings....

I guess any song you enjoy can remind you of a moment in time and not necessarily a certain season. Music is so powerful is can transport us to any point in time. There's an old song from a 1930's Broadway show that always reminds me of my grandfather. I have no idea why, and I don't even know if he ever sang it (he dies when I was 10). Who knows when it was written or why it reminds me of him? The point is that we enjoy our music - that's most important.

I love swimming too, but hated the lessons. I'm not very good, but I love being in the water.

Love all the songs. And I love the story about the pool. We had one of those too in our town. I totally forgot about it. And I must say, I'm a sucker for that scene with John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. Loved, loved, loved that movie. Tony reminds me of my middle son in so many ways - thinks he really slick, but comes off as kind of a goof who loves to be the centre of attention, especially on the dance floor. And "Build Me Up Buttercup" is one of my all time fav's!
