I hate to admit it, but it's time. To lose a few pounds. This week, I'll be embarking on a new diet plan (check back next week to see how I'm doing!) In preparation of sewing my lips together (just joking), we went to our favorite old-time ice cream parlor to indulge in some out-of-this-world homemade ice cream. With hot fudge. And whipped cream. (It also happens to be where the last scene of "The Soprano's" took place. You know the one. Where the screen went blank, and you had no idea what the ending meant.) Scroll through the photos to take a look at our trip.

Cathy, I admire you so much beginning a diet around the holidays. You are my hero! I cannot wait to see your progress and have you inspire me AFTER the holidays! This ice cream looks heavenly!
Ohhh does that ice cream look delicious. Someday I'd love to go to Holsten's with you.
Ice Cream is my favorite food in the world. These pictures are making my mouth water, truly water! Dieting during this time of year is not easy. I admire your conviction, and going out with a bang, or a fade to black screen!
That looks just like an ice cream parlor in Valley Stream, the town I grew up in. They had the best home made ice cream.
Good luck with your diet, Cathy. But now I"m feeling very, very tempted to go out for some ice cream, too! Loved the photos...must show my hubby and sons (big Soprano fans!)
OMG! YUM! So excited you're doing Jenny with me. It will be awesome, and the triple chocolate cheesecake is delicious!
That looks yummy! I think I just gained a pound.

Great photos! My hips got bigger from just looking.
Very cool about Holsten's (from a fan of the show).
Great post. I feel like I gained five pounds just looking at your pics. I will have to check out that soda shop. Can't wait to see you--and cheer you on-- on your weight loss journey.

What a fantastic set of photos and I love seeing the booth of the famous last scene of The Sopranos. Agreed, RIP, JG.
